Quick-Tips:

LENZ-complete pricelist |

Lenz nominate their decoders not due to scale (gauge) of the locomotives but due to the electric load which is pulled by the loco motor and that can be managed by the decoder circuit. So you have to make your choice following the needs of your locomotive motor. Often a "N-scale" decoder does well in a small H0-locomotive, simply because the motor gets along with 500mA. In the Lenz decoder chart (by Jan 1st, 2005) all current decoders are listed. You may build all decoders into your locomotive without loosing guarantee. In case you do not like soldering or changing an older loco model, we can do that for you. Locomotives with decoder interface (NEM651 or NEM652 plug) need only removal of the blind plug, connecting the decoder plug instead, put the decoder in place and you are ready to go.

If not marked different, Lenz dedoders have: Adresses 1 - 9999 (short adresses [CV1] and long adresses [CV17&CV18]) * programming of address, start voltage, start- and slowdown delay and other features * adjusting of velocity curve * Use with either 14, 27, 28 or 128 speed-steps * switchable drive-direction independent power outlet * programmable function power outlets: dim, blink, tie funtions to buttons of your steering device * Digital plus decoders can also be used on conventional analogous layouts * change of settings during the locomotive is running on the layout (PoM) * multitraction (multiple locomotives possible to connect in one train with automatic adjusted speed.

Further technical information can be found in the Lenz catalogue and on the Internet in german or in english language.
